About the Author & Artist
My interest in art began in early life. In the seventh grade I was given a semester of art lessons which introduced me to watercolor and oil painting. Art was not to be my primary calling. During a four-decade career as a Protestant clergyman making art was pretty much sidelined. When I retired in 2001 the word artist was still etched in my forehead. I picked up my brush and have since painted hundreds of paintings receiving juried awards for some. To say I am self-taught would not give credit to hundreds of artists who have enlightened me through books and workshops. Reproductions of my art are available through Fine Art America and can be printed in a variety of sizes and on multiple surfaces including shower curtains.
Throughout my career as a Pastor and Bishop I wrote regular newsletter columns. In retirement I have been a feature writer for two 55+ retirement communities. On this site you will find a collection of published short stories.
Currently I have four books available on Amazon: A novel: The Bronze Angel; a book of humor entitled: Keep on the Sunny Side; Mother Earth in Pictures and Poetry; and The Many Faces of Love in Paintings and Poetry. See links to Amazon and Fine Art America.
